ANATOMY OF THE SUMMIT TRACKS

The program is being carefully crafted by a team of Curators that together will challenge, inspire and bring us to action around 6 main tracks. These are the avenues that the CEOs who gathered in the first Summit we enjoyed in Rome highlighted as the most direct paths we can influence, building a new economy.
REGENERATIVE ECONOMY
SUSTAINABLE FINANCE
CORPORATE ACTIVISM
LEADERSHIP
PATH TO B CORP
FOOD & BEYOND
BUILDING A NEW ECONOMY
REGENERATIVE ECONOMY
Promoting economic systems and practices that prioritize the regeneration of natural resources and ecosystems, as well as the well-being of communities.

This track addresses the broader social and cultural shifts necessary to transition to a regenerative economy, such as valuing long-term thinking over short-term profit and seeking to create economic opportunities that benefit all members of society, rather than just a few.

The ultimate goal is to accelerate the evolution towards an economic system that creates more value - social, environmental and economic - than it takes to satisfy fundamental human needs, now and in the future.
SUSTAINABLE FINANCE
Finance can act as a formidable leverage, and it is pervasive. Making it sustainable is a top priority and both the awareness about its potential to address environmental and social challenges, and the subsequent action, are growing exponentially.

At the same time, the confusion about what sustainable finance is and means has never been greater.

This track will focus on clarifying what is going on in this field, and on strategies, actions and tools to align financial systems with the transition to a regenerative economy.

The ultimate goal is to accelerate the mobilization of capital towards investments that have positive environmental and social outcomes.
CORPORATE ACTIVISM
Using the mighty resources and influence of business - arguably the most powerful human invention - to drive positive change.

Going deep into the knowledge, and taking a stand, on complex issues, such as the mythology of capitalism, climate change, inequality, and human rights.

We will explore how to promote activities such as public advocacy, community engagement, coalitions building and partnerships between diverse organizations.
LEADERSHIP
Leadership is the essence of this summit. All the participants have been selected because they are recognized by others as leaders, committed to serving a purpose greater than themselves.

Just being around such humans is enriching and regenerating. Collectively finding ways to multiply, both in quality and in quality, this specific ‘B for Good’ regenerative leadership is an exhilarating adventure.

Sharing the knowledge, experience and skills needed to become B For Good Leaders that create a sense of shared ownership and purpose.
PATH TO B CORP
B Corps are for profit companies that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. They form a global community of thousands of businesses with a single purpose: transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.

The goal of this track is to provide attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to understand the B Corp certification process and to successfully navigate the path to becoming a B Corp while exploring the role of B Corps in driving systemic change and creating a more sustainable economy.
FOOD & BEYOND
Food is us. We are literally the food we eat. A prosperous and regenerative future is impossible unless food is good, just, and clean. Food systems connect all the dimensions of sustainability - Earth, humans, economy, energy, technology, culture and so on - as no other thing on Earth. In this track, we will address systemic issues in the food industry and related sectors through a holistic approach that considers the interconnections and interdependencies of their underlying structures.

In this track we will explore how to promote sustainable agricultural practices, fair trade, and living wages, as well as improving access to healthy food in low-income communities and reducing food waste. Additionally, related issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequality will be covered to foster circular economy practices, environmental justice and sustainable development.

THE CURATION PROCESS

The B For Good Leaders Summit is designed by people who are deeply passionate about the regeneration of human beings and planet Earth: in fact, they have been working toward this goal all their lives.
The term curation comes from the Latin word ‘cura’ meaning ‘to take good care.’ It is not just about selecting and organizing quality content and speakers. It is about creating conditions in which all people attending are part of the contribution: learning, sharing and harnessing the full potential of each session.

Each of the themes emerges as a curated months-long process. The teams of curators engaged experts in a co-creation evolution that has nourished each theme and built an interdependent connection between all themes.

The words ‘curation’ and ‘curiosity’ have the same root. This is the ideal spirit we want to see emerging: to always be open to discovering what we don’t know: this happens naturally when curious people come together.

B FOR GOOD LEADERS DECLARATION

Our present economic system is flawed. It is guided by a short-term vision that only takes the interests of a limited number of stakeholders into account and is deaf to the call of future generations.

The annual B for Good Leaders Summit exists to accelerate the transition towards a regenerative economy creating the conditions for a shared, durable prosperity. This will create social, environmental, and economic net positive value through a new model of regenerative leadership.

As inhabitants of planet Earth, we take up this intergenerational call which demands to reframe the very meaning of leadership.

To enable this evolution, as B For Good Leaders, we commit to:

1. embrace radical interdependence, the fundamental principle governing life on Earth, as the golden rule for decision-making, leading to a regenerative impact;

2. consider at least the next generation of humans in every business decision;

3. measure what matters to integrate systemic value creation into our definition of profit;

4. challenge extractive economic models and take a stand for the common good;

5. mobilize finance as a catalyst to transform the business perspective from short-termism to long-term shared value creation.

We commit to guiding our companies and organizations to embrace a purpose-driven model that creates value for all.

Through this joint leadership statement, we lay the foundation for collective actions and alliances, clearing the path for a new regenerative economy.
